After an early career touring the world in musicals (A CHORUS LINE, ON THE TOWN, THE PRODUCERS) , MATT YOUNG made his Australian/Canadian/NZ television debut playing James Cook in CAPTAIN COOK: OBSESSION AND DISCOVERY.
US television audiences will recognise him from Hallmark's A SUMMER TO REMEMBER and PEARL IN PARADISE, TBS's WRECKED, and HBO"s THE PACIFIC.
Queer film audiences will recongnise him from HEART OF THE MAN, GAYBY BABY, and LUMBER (short film).
He has been the occasional co-host of the podcast THRASH N TREASURE, where heavy metal meets musicals, and the host of the storytelling podcast THE STORY CHUNDER.
He is an acting and US dialect coach under the banner of TUKUNA ACTING CLUB, which he started in FIji in 2015, and has served as a film choreogrpaher (THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN 2), location casting director (#BLACKAF), and national acting trainer for FILM FIJI.
He has served as Associate Lecturer in theatre/drama at Central Queensland Unversity's CQCM in Mackay, QLD, where he also directed/choreographed two musicals.
